||||||||||||
| Thank you for viewing the Coast Photo Gallery Lighthouse Tour presented by Know Your Coast Realty LLC. The tour captures the amazing stories of each of these Central Oregon Coast Lighthouses and the wonderful settings from which these lighthouses stand guard over the Pacific Ocean. The four lighthouses covered include the Cape Meares Lighthouse, Yaquina Head Lighthouse, Yaquina Bay Lighthouse and the Heceta Head Lighthouse. While modern technology has impacted these lighthouses from their original design, the allure of these structures continues to invoke strong support within their respective communities. The spirit of the Oregon Coast continues to shine on brightly, supported by the many people who care about the preservation of these magnificent Oregon Coast Lighthouses, thereby ensuring their respective places in the history of the Oregon Coast. These lighthouses continue to draw visitors from all over the world seeking the opportunity to personally tour the lighthouse structures and view their incredible Fresnel Lenses, and to learn more about their cultural heritage as being a part of the National Register of Historic Places. Each lighthouse is served by a wonderful park facility adding to the visitors experience with spectacular seascapes and magnificent wildlife viewing opportunities to be found. While these lighthouses have endured their individual battles with nature and neglect, today they embody the spirit of the Oregon Coast and continue to stand proud as Sentinels of the Oregon Coast. A visit at sunset to one of these lighthouses conjures up wonderful memories of Oregons past history as well as reminds us of the powerful forces of nature at work constantly. To view a lighthouse up close or from afar, still offers a magical moment to be cherished. We are very fortunate to have four lighthouses that provide us with those magical feelings. Our company is focused on sharing the wonderful aspects of living on the Oregon Coast. We are fascinated by the spectacular beauty of our coastline and how it has been shaped over the course of nature. Through working with many clients, we have structured the tours to be both awe-inspiring and also educational as well. Additional Comments: This lighthouse tour covered the four main lighthouses found on the Central Oregon Coast from Cape Meares to Heceta Head and included the lighthouses readily accessible to the general public for viewing and for guided tours. A fifth lighthouse located near Cape Perpetua is a small privately-owned lighthouse operating as a private aid to navigation and is known as Cleft of the Rock Lighthouse. Since the lighthouse is not open to the public and includes a private residence, this lighthouse was not featured in our lighthouse tour.
