| The course of Highway 101 built within the Community of Seal Rock influences the design formations of many of the residential neighborhoods located in the Seal Rock Area. Many of the neighborhoods are situated on the east side of Highway 101 overlooking the same breath-taking scenery found along the setting of the Seal Rock State Recreation Site. Additionally, some of the residential home sites are accessible off small streets connecting directly to Highway 101, and feature oceanfront properties, ocean view lot locations and other rural settings. Seal Rock Street connects to Highway 101 at two locations creating a half loop running through a portion of the gently sloped hillsides found near the State Park. These property areas feature ocean view lot locations plus other rural settings designed with greater amounts of open space between the property lines. South of the Seal Rock State Recreation Site, a small basalt rock outcropping separates several small pocket beaches from a larger beach strand running southward towards the Community of Waldport and the end of the Bayshore Spit. The northern end of this beach strand is accessible from a small beach access point known as the Quail Street at Collins Creek Beach Access. Quail Street is situated on the west side of Highway 101 and the public beach access is designated at the end of the street. A very small amount of parking is available around the access area. Heading south from the Quail Street at Collins Creek Beach Access, Highway 101 continues on towards the southern end of Seal Rock. This area features stands of coastal pines thriving along the coastal bluffs platted with individual lot locations offering lovely views of the natural scenery and a heightened sense of privacy. |
