Lincoln Beach - The Developments of Pacific Palisades and Fishing Rock
The beach strand fronting the Lincoln Beach Area ends at the rock formations making up the Fishing Rock Headland found at the southern end of the community. Just to the north of the headland is the residential subdivision known as The Development of Pacific Palisades. The Pacific Palisades Development includes approximately sixty home sites providing a combination of oceanfront and ocean view properties, plus interior lot locations. A stairway leading down to the beach is available for community members to share as well. The Pacific Palisades Development is located nearby to the Fishing Rock State Park, an Oregon State Park providing access to the sea swept rock formations of the Fishing Rock Headland. A parking lot is set up at its southeast end and serves as the trailhead location for connecting to the pathway leading westward out to the rocky cliffs. The Fishing Rock State Park is a popular spot for taking in the amazing ocean vistas available from its rocky cliffs. Also, the cliffs are the perfect place for enjoying a sunset engulfed by the delightful sounds of crashing waves. The Fishing Rock State Park is well-liked for its close proximity to the ocean water’s edge creating an ideal spot for surf fishing directly from the rocks. South of the headland are more residential areas featuring small county streets plus the Development of Fishing Rock. The Fishing Rock Development is a gated subdivision designed with appealing ocean views. Built at the north end of the development is a stairway leading down to the beach area bordering the community. During low tidal conditions, the water levels recede and the beach becomes exposed, thereby making the shoreline safe to explore. Heading south of the Fishing Rock Development is one of the area’s main oceanfront lodging properties, overlooking a cliff-rimmed beach set within the grounds of the Fogarty Creek State Recreation Site, another Oregon State Park Location.
