Devils Lake - The City of Lincoln City
Lying between the ocean shores and the coastal mountains of North Lincoln County, the Devils Lake Area provides a variety of housing options and recreational activities centered on or around the lake. Devils Lake draws its name from Native American Lore and is one of Lincoln County’s largest freshwater lakes in size at 680 acres. The neighborhoods that surround this lake setting are either part of the platted areas of Lincoln County or a part of the City of Lincoln City. Two main road systems support these lakeside community areas including the West Devils Lake Road on the west side of the lake and the East Devils Lake Road set on the east side of the lake. On the north end of Devils Lake is the Community of Neotsu renown for its lakeside neighborhoods including a small peninsula area known as Lake Point. The majority of the residential development built around the Devils Lake Area is found on its western shoreline with many of the homes possessing individual boat docks on the lake. Sand Point is another neighborhood area built on its eastern shoreline. The Lincoln City Parks and Recreation Department offer several parks on the lake for enjoying outdoor activities identified as the Holmes Road Park, Regatta Park, and Sandpoint Park. Additionally, the Oregon State Parks and Recreation Department manage a couple of park settings on the shoreline of the lake known as the Devils Lake State Recreation Area, offering full camping services and boat launches for accessing the lake waters.
