The Community of Roads End - The Roads End Beach Strand
South of the Cascade Head Area, the Salmon River flows westward into the ocean forming the Salmon River Estuary and Sand Spit Area. This spit area heads southward in direction for a small distance until it ends at a small prairie headland. This headland acts as a separation point between the estuary and the Roads End Area, the neighboring community located to the south of the headland. The Community of Roads End is a popular area located at the northern end of Lincoln County Oregon and fronts a lengthy beach strand set along its entire western edge. Many public access points are available throughout its neighborhood areas for reaching the beach strand including the Lincoln County Park maintained as the Logan Road Wayside. Additionally, another Oregon State Park Facility known as the Roads End State Recreation Site is situated in the main center of the Roads End Community and offers beach access, public restrooms, and picnic tables for taking in the picturesque views of the coastline. The Roads End Area is dominated by oceanfront and ocean view residential properties overlooking the Pacific Ocean and the Roads End Beach Strand, making it a desirable area for vacation rentals as well. The Roads End Beach Strand extends southward for over seven miles, eventually ending at the Taft Area of Lincoln City, one of neighborhood areas contained within the city limits of Lincoln City.
