The Yachats Commons and City Hall Complex - Yachats Downtown Area

The Yachats Commons serves as the Community Center for the City of Yachats. The Commons Building was built in the 1930s and was used as a school before the City of Yachats purchased the property. Today, the Yachats Commons includes the Offices of City Hall, the Youth Center, and a section of the building utilized for both community and private events. The Yachats Commons Park is situated behind the Commons Building and offers a variety of activities including an outdoor play equipment area, a grass ball field, two basketball courts, a large picnic shelter and a trail system leading throughout the park’s forest and wetland areas. The Yachats Downtown Shopping Corridor features a wide array of businesses found on or near Highway 101 catering to both locals and visitors alike. The downtown area is home to many intriguing Points of Interest including the Whale Tail City Park, the Little Log Church Museum, the Yachats State Recreation Area, the Yachats 804 Trail System, and the beach area surrounding the Yachats River.
