Vingie Creek Beach Access Trail - The Development of Crabapple Hill
The North Yachats Area features a combination of small neighborhoods and individual oceanfront properties built along the coastal land strip sited between Highway 101 and the beach together with other residential areas developed on the east side of Highway 101. Most of these residential areas offer shared beach access points within the neighborhood itself or via an access point available to the community located nearby. One popular access point is the Vingie Creek Beach Access Trail located just south of Vingie Street. A roadside parking area is available on the west side of Highway 101 along with the trailhead leading westward out to the Beach Strand of Sandy Beach. Vingie Creek is a small creek draining out to Sandy Beach just north of the access trail. The Development of Crabapple Hill is a residential area established near the waters of Starr Creek featuring home sites platted within the verdant hillsides overlooking the wave action near Sandy Beach and the craggy coastlines situated at the north end of the Yachats 804 Trail System.
