The Community of South Beach - Lost Creek State Recreation Site

Heading south from the Thiel Creek Area, the next neighborhood area encountered within the Community of South Beach is known as For Far. The Residential Development of For Far consists of neighborhood streets sited on the east side of the highway featuring individual lot locations including some lots affording ocean views. Located nearby to For Far is the Oregon State Park Facility known as the Lost Creek State Recreation Site. This State Park offers beach access to the bordering communities of For Far and Lost Creek Estates as well as to the visitor traveling along the Pacific Coast Scenic Byway. The Lost Creek State Recreation Site is accessible on the west side of Highway 101 and showcases wonderful beachcombing and picnicking activities. The Lost Creek State Recreation Site is another excellent location for stopping and enjoying a sunset along the Oregon Coast. Lost Creek, another coastal creek waterway and also the namesake of the park drains into the ocean near the park grounds. The Development of Lost Creek Estates is located on the east side of Highway 101, opposite the Lost Creek State Recreation Site. The community area features individual home sites set amongst the evergreen trees with some of the home sites affording panoramic views of the surrounding coastline and the white water surf. The neighborhood areas of For Far and Lost Creek Estates are located centrally to the community and merchant services of Newport to the north plus the additional services available in Waldport to the south.
