Beverly Beach Area - Beverly Beach State Park and Campground
A very popular Oregon State Park, the Beverly Beach State Park and Campground affords many amenities for enjoying the ocean and the evergreen forests of the area. The park offers 277 campsites featuring 53 full hookup sites, 75 electrical sites with water, 128 tent sites with water nearby and 21 yurts. Other conveniences include a hiker/biker campsite, flush toilets and hot showers, 5 group tent camping areas, and paved parking, a picnic table and a fire ring at all sites. Other services include Cable TV or support for campers with disabilities at selected sites, firewood for sale, a RV dump station and a recycling center. The park features campsites near the ocean access pathway as well as interior sites set amongst the forest and along Spencer Creek. A nature trail is available that runs along Spencer Creek and features several interpretive placards covering the importance of maintaining a healthy watershed area along the creek for salmon migration. The Spencer Creek Visitor Center has available information about the park and camping in general, plus offers park-related merchandise for sale. On the park grounds is the Program Area featuring an outdoor amphitheater for evening interpretive programs held by Park Rangers and nearby is an outdoor park with playground equipment. The Day Use portion of the park includes an overflow parking lot, picnic tables, public restrooms and a Yurt Meeting Hall. A path besides Spencer Creek runs under the Highway 101 Bridge onto Beverly Beach and its miles of sandy beach that stretches from Otter Rock to Yaquina Head.
