The City of Newport - The Residential Neighborhoods of the Newport Bayfront
The Historic Newport Bayfront offers a connection with the nautical heritage of life found along the Yaquina Bay as well as showcasing the scenic qualities of living on or near the waterfront today. While the Yaquina Bay Region supports a wide diversity of business commerce, the Newport Bayfront is a very popular choice as well for vacation and full-time residential living. The City of Newport supports many residential neighborhoods overlooking the Bayfront and the Yaquina Bay Area. Many of the neighborhoods afford panoramic views of the Yaquina Bay Bridge, especially spectacular on an evening sunset or on a full moon evening. Some of the residential choices available are located in the heart of the Bayfront along SE Bay Boulevard and include living spaces sited above commercial business properties as well as condominiums and homes built within the hillsides overlooking the Yaquina Bay. At the northeast end of the Bayfront are several waterfront condominium developments. The Embarcadero Condominiums include a sizeable complex of individual units supporting full-time residency and vacation use. Also, a rental pool option is available for producing additional income. Next to the Embarcadero Complex is the waterfront condominium development known as The Landing Condominiums at Newport. The project was built with 57 total units within several room layout options. Other residential developments near the Bayfront include such areas known as the Walker Heights Area and the Yaquina Knoll Area, both noteworthy planned developments offering custom home sites with various views of the bay and bridge.
