Cape Lookout and Nature Trail Viewpoint
Cape Lookout is the second cape encountered along the route of the Three Capes Scenic Drive. The cape protrudes almost two miles out to sea featuring sheer rock faces and the opening of a sea cave on its tip. The Cape Lookout Trail is a nature trail that travels along this headland and affords the outdoor visitor with an amazing hiking experience and memorable views of the surrounding coastline. The Netarts Spit Area runs northward for five miles in length from the base of Cape Lookout helping to form the western edge of the Netarts Bay Estuary. Alongside this spit area is the location for the Cape Lookout State Park. This Oregon State Park includes both a Day-Use Park Area and a full service campground.
