North Aerial Guide Overview - Tour Four
City of Depoe Bay - Northpoint Neighborhoods

The north end of Depoe Bay is referred to generally as the Northpoint Area, named after the main headland that juts out into the Pacific Ocean. The headland is surrounded by Pirate Cove to the north and the waters of the Bay of Depoe Bay to the south. The neighborhoods of Northpoint include a combination of residential condominium developments as well as individual home sites. Additionally, the Northpoint Area features some commercial property development, mainly set along the business corridor of Highway 101. The Northpoint Neighborhoods are broadly defined from the Boiler Bay State Scenic Viewpoint in the north to the main headland of Northpoint to the south, near downtown. Most of the residential developments are located on the west side of Highway 101, designed to take advantage of this fantastic ocean setting and the tremendous wave action that occurs along the rocky shorelines. Some of the properties face due west, offering incredible viewpoints looking over the oncoming waves, and the perfect place to enjoy a crimson lined sunset or to spy for whale spouts. Also, the Northpoint Area features some residential home sites located on the east side of Highway 101. These residential locations include city streets that head east off the highway and some sites that are situated on hillsides overlooking the distant ocean. The Northpoint Neighborhoods are located near Highway 101 for easy highway access as well as providing walking path access leading south to the downtown areas of Depoe Bay or heading north to the Boiler Bay State Scenic Viewpoint.
